When you're dredging through very old threads like this you need to consider the age of the thread and the relevance of what you're posting.

If you're trying to find connections to people who are researching the same people as yourself then the best way to do that is to use the Search function on the menu above and search members trees.

Thanks for the input.

I already have both of these on my list of possibles, but am still waiting for a birth certificate to arrive to be sure;

Oliver John Gisborne is also a possibility.
born 1886 Q1, Married 1908 Q4 Died 1928Q1 aged 42 , which would fit family history of him dying young and leaving a 15-yr-old eldest son to provide for the family.

We shall see. (especially if I get the hang of this website! This oldie is not too good with a computer and lives in an area with s u c h s l o w i n t e r n e t connection.
