Gee

Gee Report 16 Jul 2011 05:39

Why do you call them mouse traps?

Persephone

Persephone Report 16 Jul 2011 06:01

I dunno... when I worked at the hospital they used to go through packets and packets of loaves of sliced bread with making all the patients lunches. It was an economical move to put the crusts out with cheese and marmite for morning tea in the cafeteria.. We used to get them every third or fourth day. They called them mouse traps... and I noticed that others did too.

Now I think they buy in those packets of two sandwiches for all, where before you could choose whether you had butter or not, mustard or not on ham etc, brown or white bread. Times change and not always for the better.

Persie :-)

Good morning Persie + Ginns (and anyone else who is up and about) !!

That will do me for breakfast Pers - those mousetraps smell wonderful, though I think I will call mine 'cheesy crusties' as they will taste better without the mice :-D

OOhhh - that lasagna is delicious too - I couldn't let it sit there all neglected until lunchtime..................... I will return then though to see if there is any left ;-)

Thank you Persie <3

See you later,

Thank you Persie...your marmite on toast is just delicious.

It isn't snoring which upsets me, it's the way he occasionally flails around , jumping and shouting. It could be the meds of course......much better last night - it was me who was restless instead!

Rather wet here - in fact, very wet. Very overcast. Very - let's stay inish!

Gee

Gee Report 16 Jul 2011 08:34

Same here Cyn....wet and dull

Think I might have a cleaning day in the kitchen, a full monty job, might start now with him in bed....noise!

Persephone

Persephone Report 16 Jul 2011 08:35

We had a let's stay inish yesterday and I carried it on over today. He had to go to the library and asked me when they closed.... I said probably 4.30pm on a Saturday..... he shouldn't have listened to me they closed at 4pm so his book is still there waiting for him. It would have been so easy for him to google instead of ask me. Ho hum.

I am around Had problems with HID last night not being well....thats not good when he is MY carer. He has something wrong with his muscels and has been on steriods for the last year but he has been asked to come off them, which has now left him in a lot of pain and can hardly walk. He has started taking them again now

I am going to have to get my dad to go shopping for us as it is a bit wet to let HID use my scooter...Morrisons is just over the road so it is handy.

I have an un-normal household (for us)at the moment and canny consencrate at all..Back to Normalish on Mon I hope or I will be making much use of Gins rolling pin even if it has been in JBs "where the sun dont shine".!

My dad was asked to cut down on his steroids last year Jax so he did for a week and then ended up in hosp again,so he is back on his full strength lot now.I mean at age 82 do you need to worry about long term side effects and if they give a decent quality of life for however long yer gots then why not have the good quality life for shorter time than bad quality life for longer time I says..

See you later

He is on so many meds anyway for Heart and blood I am sure they would not make any difference it was only a low dose, no big muscels from them. He has told me what he has PMR thought I was going to have to call an ambulance last night...seems a lot better today and its a good job there are a few disability aids around the house as I dont know how he would have coped.

Sounds like he and you are a walking/staggering Pharmacy between you Jax..!
I tell you what,if we all listed out all the meds that we and our HIDs are on I bet we could start our own Pharmacy with them all..Or have a comp to see who is on the most pills per day or highest dosage per day of different stuff :-D

Gee
