Just had a horrible lunch !!!!! :-(

I bought what looked like a lovely piece of pork loin and decided that rather than roast it for lunch I would divide it into 'chops'.........

I marinaded it overnight in white wine, olive oil and lemon juice with lots of herbs and pepper etc. to tenderise it - then I had a 'feel' of it this morning and it didn't seem to be very tender so I bashed it with my little hammer thing, rubbed it in some pimenton and cooked it nicely, made a gorgeous creamy sauce, left it to rest and then served.....................

It was 'as tough as old boots' !!! :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

We ate our veg and dipped some bread in the lovely sauce and gave up :-(

I saved the day by taking the last of my lovely 'special' mince pies out of the freezer and serving them with custard................. We are now 'replete' ;-) :-D :-D

Just going to relax for a bit before the tribe come over later........

Dea,

What a waste. Take it back to where you got it and complain c

My M&S meal deal was lovely I got the roast beef and got the turkey joint as there were 6 of us and the meal is meant for 4.

Only got about 3 slices of the beef left :-)

Off to watch the last episode of The Musketeers.

Thanks for the PM Dea

I have just spoke to the blind company who I need to come and re-fit the roman blinds around the house

I have self holding blinds, you pull the cord and they stay in place. He has told me I must have cleat hooks added, even though I don't need them, H&S law

I understand this is for H&S reasons and protecting young children, I don't have young children and the only way anyone is going to be strangled is if we wrap the cord around each others necks!

Hey Ho..........................

Sorry about your friend Gins.....it's always sad when a friend dies....... :-(

Going for a gentle browse........before I make the meal.....xx
