Obviously want it too disappear down the boards before any more comments and questions get posted that the Team will not answer.

Hi GlitterBaby this isn’t the case. I have unstickied my threads on the new Community Manager role because they have been up for a week, and we wanted to make sure there was still plenty of space for more current discussions. You can still comment on these threads and I will be checking the boards and assisting members with their queries and questions. And if people still feel like this is current news and want to continue the discussion, this thread will stay at the top of the boards. You can also PM me any questions you have.

Natasha you wrote.....Hi Jude & Eveie, We’re in the middle of a project to move everyone onto the same price package. I’ll keep you updated.

Well, my six month subscription was taken yesterday (with no 14 days advance notice in writing as your T&Cs promise) and it was £7.98 for six months.

On another thread someone has posted they paid £6 for twelve months.....

So what are GR going to do to bring equanimity to all - increase EVERYONE so they are paying £20.04 a year?

Hi Jude,

I would have to look up the details but I believe that when Brightsolid purchased GR some while back, it was written into the purchase agreement that they could not increase the membership fees for members current at that time!

I do agree though that it is unfair that you (and many others) should be paying far more than the rest of us for a 'standard membership'.

I will be interested to see how they go about solving this !

Dea
There have been two long running threads about this on General Chat and Genealogy Chat that were started in December....when a couple of people who had been a continuious members for 10 years were asked for £15.96 for a years membership...then the next person says they just paid £6...so just luck of the draw it seems

It seems everyone is going to be paying full price for the standard membership eventually...but the way it has been done is all wrong

Dea, Jax...I don't mind paying £15.96 for 2 x six months - I think it is excellent value.

What I do mind is that some people pay £6 pounds for a whole year...some pay £7.98...WHY????

So on the basis that they aren't going to put everyone on the lower figure....they are going to lose a load of people who will object about going from £6 to £16!!!!

Hey, another figure for the equation - I just got billed £11.96 for 6 months standard membership. And no, I had no prior notification my sub was about to be taken or at what price either.

So, if you stop your membership do you get a reduction to register again??

What exactly is the "full price" for standard membership - does anyone actually know, or is it a case of whatever the computer says on the day? What if, in the words of Little Brittain, the computer says NOOOOOOOOOOO ;-)
