This one is in the correct area, based on his place of abode in 1841

Thanks for all the above info - much appreciated. I had traced back via Robert who left home in his teens to work on a farm in Nottinghamshire. He moved to Lincolnshire following marriage to a Mary. Sutton on Trent makes sense in the light of subsequent history. Ray Speck

One further point - I think the Halifax Speck is a red herring which threw me off the scent for some time. RS
