My Father Richard Robert Maryan served in the Royal Marines in the 1914-1918 war. I would like to know more about him, i believe he was wounded, he was a private in the RAMC and his regiment number was 8639. Colin.

There's this Royal Marine record for him at the National Archives - I assume this is the right man, although he was discharged in 1910. The record isn't online, though - you'd have to go there or get someone to go for you
