I am trying to find my gran Edith Anne Brown who was born @ 1896 I know not where. Her father was Charles Edward Brown who was a gamekeeper. They lived at one point at Rose Cottage in Burtersett near Hawes in North Yorks but when, I don't know. I believe she had 2 sisters one called Rose but this is only hearsay. She was a nurse during the war and married my grandad in 1926 at Rocester Staffs and lived her life in Alton staffs she died in 1961. |

I don't know anything about her family. Dad and his sisters never met them and they were never talked about. He was on the marrage certificate but didn't witness it. |

This Charles is a gamekeeper but Edith's age is wrong |

This is very promising, though on her death cert it says she was 67 in 1962. |

Here's the same family in 1911. Edith's still not the expected age. Charles had had 7 children, 4 still living, 3 had died: |
