Could you confirm his name, as I can see no birth for him (as a Ball) in Suffolk on free bmd?
Thanks

Detective,
I think I also looked for Albert William and William Albert born in Blything with any surname.
There is a William without Albert, Balls.
Added: Arthur or Albert??

If Sandra states that his mother was Florence, then the records I've posted are incorrect. Shame, but there you go!
Assuming that William did serve in the forces, its possible that his records are amongst the 70% destroyed during WW2 bombing?
Unless someone knows differently??

Chris, the censuses 1901 and 1911 are correct with parents Henry and Florence Balls and brother Victor and also the birth June 1899 Blything, his birthday was 15 March, 1899. William was in war, and had shrapnel injury in leg. He married in 1922 when living Wimbledon, then lived in Wandsworth, he died 1983 Thanks Sandra
