	If you are lucky enough to have an address in NZ of your relitive then don't forget to have a look at google earth. and if you are luck enough to have an address in Auckland look here http://maps.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz/aucklandcouncilviewer/ click on tools (left had side box icon) click on historic aerial photography on the right is a sliding bar that will give you Aerial photos as early as 1940 you can only search by current address but this should not be too different from the original address. It also gives you a good impression to how Auckland has changed since then. This may be the same for other NZ council regions
