Hi I am looking for more information on the ancestors of my grandfather John Green. John was married to Sarah Village (known as Sally). They lived at 3/51 Gladstone Terrace, Small Heath, Birmingham. Their children were, Violet, Emma, John (Jack), Jenny(Ginny), Alice, Gert, Ronnie and Iris. Do you have knowledge of this family? ;-)

Jacqueline Report 11 Oct 2014 08:42

Only someone connected would 'have' knowledge, so look in search all trees to find if anyone has him in a GR tree.

Otherwise, research is necessary

If you obtain the marriage cert, you'll find out if he knew his father's name

With such a common name, you will almost certainly need to purchase copy documents.

ADDED

The marriage took place in JAS qtr 1910

Jacqueline Report 11 Oct 2014 08:47

1911 census has no record of where John was born

Jacqueline Report 11 Oct 2014 08:49

This MIGHT be him in 1901, but until you get some documentary evidence, don't take it as fact.

His occupation in 1911 was Galvaniser
