Broke into sheep bridge hotel chesterfield derbyshire in jan 5 th 1921 so read in derby evening telegraph, how can we find what sentence he received or if he was imprisoned and where Samuel shaw was born 1896 at iron vile derbyshire. His father was named charles shaw

Hello Vena,
According to reports in the Derby Daily Telegraph 05 January 1921 he (and his brother-in-law, Charles William Bonson) was given good character and discharged on condition he paid costs.

Derek in Derbyshire might have Baptism & Marriage details. Sometimes they don't give the full address just the village.

You could ask him - if he has them on disc, he might be willing to get the image next time he goes to Matlock
