I'm a bit confused trying to work out where the registration district for Ightam, Kent would have been in 1945.

If anybody could help I'd be very grateful, thank you.

It's a small area and probably came under Sevenoaks to 1941 then transferred .

SEVENOAKS REGISTRATION DISTRICT

Registration County : Kent.
Created : 1.7.1837.
Abolished : 1.4.1941 (to become part of Tonbridge and Dartford registration districts).

It was part of Malling till 1941
MALLING REGISTRATION DISTRICT
Registration County : Kent.
Created : 1.7.1837.
Abolished : 1.4.1941 (to become part of Maidstone, Dartford and Tonbridge registration districts).
Sub-districts : Aylesford, East Peckham, Wrotham.
GRO volumes : V (1837-51), 2a (1852-1941).

It then became part of kingsdown which was in the Dartford reg district to 1948

If unsure, I just google 'reg district xxxxx' and the relevant site will pop up.

So, in this case 'reg district Ightam, Kent' gives you:

It's a handy way of saving you a lot of guesswork!
