Can someone compare the address showing on FMP with this one from Ancestry.
The head of house is female/widowed and possibly reads: Mrs William Pollock

I think the Ancestry version may have dittoed the address from the previous entry (Household Schedule 31)
I would like to compare it to FMP version

1891 Scotland Census about Robert Pollock

Unless ....anyone can locate son Dr Robert Pollock (b 31 Dec 1844 Paisley)
He is the only child from the family who remains unaccounted for after 1891.
I have all his data, birth, census returns, graduation etc, prior to this census

Thankies
Anne

Thankies Shirley,
I suspect it's an enumerator's error.

This is almost definitely Lounsdale House
The family did own Amochrie Farm and surrounding land, but I don't believe they lived there at 1891
As far as I can tell, Amochrie Farm consisted of just one dwelling ( schedule 31) which was occupied by one of their known tenants ( also Pollock- no relation)

All the paperwork that I have ( including wills ) place this family at Lounsdale House and Lounsdale Villa between 1881 and 1898.
( Amochrie Farm was on the same land)

Grandchildren were still being born at Lounsdale House up until 1898, yet neither Lounsdale House nor the smaller property, Lounsdale Villa is listed as an address at 1891.
(Both of these properties are separate from Amochrie Farm)

Sounds very much like an enumerator error :-)

Thanks Potty
I have credits but I wanted someone to look at another transcription first.
Next time I'm at the GRO, or a library with the 1891 census on micro film, I will look at all the households in the area.
