their first child:-- ELIZA baptised 28.06.1824...not quite a shotgun wedding..but not far off!!..but sadly it looks like she died 24.07.1824...

I see that there is an offer to do research in zDerbyshire. My grandmother was Harriet Steel and was born in Hanley in 1838. Married Reuben Saul in 1858 in St Phillips or St.Peters in Askern in Yorkshire. I would very much like to find out more about her. They had one child,Anne Elizabeth who married Andrew James Lindsay in Manchester in 1887(?). I see I have called her my grandmother but as you have no doubt realised ,she was my g.grandmother.
I would be so very grateful if anything could be found out about her and her family.
