Looking for James Smyth known to have died in Jamaica 1812 or 1813.
Are there any available sources on line?

Try googling - you can then see what records are available from what source, whether they are free, subscription etc., who you might be able to contact in Jamaica for help and so on.

James Smyth esq of the 5th West India Reg. and formerly Captain of 31st Reg. of Foot. This is included in a list of deaths in the Bath Chronicle & Weekly Gazette. My thanks to David Case who has given me much help in finding much info about James.


This has been included as his will.

All from a tree on ancestry. This tree does appear to have quite a few mistakes on it but there are also lots of pictures and certificates.
