Finding burial site Stoke on Trent

I have a friend who is trying to find the place where his grandparents were buried and all he can go on is that they were buried in Stoke on Trent . We have the volume and page number and that is all

William Clough born April 1905 Died Nov 1988
Vol 30 page 1478. Stoke on Trent

Ivy Clough Born Feb 1906 Died Nov 1992
Vol 30 page 1773 Stoke on Trent
He is trying to find exactly where
Please help.

If you get the death certificate of one of them it should have their usual address on it. You can then look to see which cemetery is the nearest to the address and start by ringing that one and asking them to check their records. I think they charge £25 per look up per person, per cemetery, so it helps if you can narrow down the cemetery first.

Thank you, I have now assatained that they lived in Longton, so hopefully they would have been buried there

Does he know they were actually buried? The majority of people, certainly since the 1970s, opt for cremation.
