Good Evening all,

Could someone please tell me which Census years are available on www.familysearch.org?

Many Thanks
Chris

As Familysearch is free to use, you can check for yourself ;-)
Which countries were you interested in?

If you're concerned after being asked to register, just ignore that and carry on searching.

Hi Det

Yes I know it is free to use but I can't see any years listed anywhere!
I am trying to pass the info on to a beginner.

Chris

PS England & Wales

There is probably an easier way to find out, but this is one way.

On the home page, click search
On the records page, click on the map for the British Isles.
On the drop-down list, select England
Then on the next page, Filter by collection showing all 57

As it happens, the census are shown first
England & Wales - 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891, 1901, 1911.

Do the same for other countries you were interested in.

Just discovered the Collections! Thanks

I use GR for my census searches so have never tried FS.

AnninCardiff and maylon seem to use them more or less exclusively. They could probably tell you how to get the most out of it.

I'd assumed that the 1881 census images would have been available, but you get directed to FMP. You'd probably have to experiment to see what images v transcriptions are available

I love the site - as Det says - I use it all the time - goes back centuries in some cases

Assuming it's England/Wales you're after, then see:
https://familysearch.org/search/collection/list#page=1®ion=UNITED_KINGDOM_IRELAND

1841-1911 are available, but at present, 1911 is pretty useless as it doesn't tell you who's in the household. There are no free images available. In fact, the only free images of UK censuses are for 1901-1911 Irish censuses via:
