Elizabeth - thanks for your posting.

I, too, didn't get any other notification before yours, but was able to get 5 hrs downloading before they shut me off at 1am (UK time).

Sorry Sylvia - I picked the info up on another site although it was for UK- some people who had their subscription other than UK had some difficulty in getting access but did manage eventually !!

Thank you for posting that yesterday. Not sure if it's of interest but with the public library addition of ancestry you can now email the originals etc to yourself. It means you can look at them on your home computer, also print them.

I do have UK subscription, but I might have been interested if it had been other countries!

What was special about yesterday for them to open access for the day???
