Anyone know if the baptisim records are available for Friar Lane in 1870? Trying to trace record for Laura Eliza Steeples. died August 1870 aged 9months. Born and lived in Churchgate Leicester. Cannot seem to find anything. Thanks Jo

Thanks for all the information Mike,much appreciated. I think (hope) the Laura Eliza is the one I am looking for. I went to the records office in Leicester, but they did not have any early records for Friar Lane, well I could not find them! The parents James Steeples and Laura Eliza nee Springthorpe were married in this church and lived for a time in Churchgate. Money tight this month so cannot send for the birth cert yet! Once again thanks for the help. Jo
