I did mean to add that Sylvia :-D

There another couple on her who have one account and sign their posts accordingly as not to confuse.

It works, and saves on increased subs.

Hubby or son don't like GR ( for some reason ;-) ) so I am the only one posting on my account , dau is totally uninterested .

SylviaInCanada Report 28 Mar 2013 23:58

There is no reason at all why she couldn't post under Bob's account ........................

so long as she identifies herself on any post as "Bob's wife" .....................

otherwise we get all confused :-S

*$parkling $andie*

*$parkling $andie* Report 28 Mar 2013 23:47

But she can post under on your account Bob surely ?
No point in having 2.

Bobtanian Report 28 Mar 2013 23:31

this is why my OH decided I was to let her subs lapse..........she can still look in, as thats all she has been doing for quite a while now.......
all these extras that we have no real interest in..........

so they lose a sub.......

£11.96. is the price for my renewal in April. I think that is for 6 months.

jax

jax Report 28 Mar 2013 22:54

I have mentioned it on another thread...but I subscribed tonight after saying I was'nt going to.

If you paid £7.96 for 6 months now...next time they will charge you £12...

The 6 month price is £15 so as long as you continue to get 20% discount that works out to £24 a year....where as if you go for an anual sub now at £19.95 next year after 20% is deducted it will be £16 ish

Suzanne the reason you have paid the full price, is because you let your membership lapse for more than a month

ChrisofWessex

ChrisofWessex Report 28 Mar 2013 22:50

That is disgusting Suzanne - no discount at all? I shall have to get back to this.

I had a reminder a few days ago, my renewal is due in April, £7.96, assuming thats for 12 months as usual. I'm on continuous renewal. Was surprised as I've noticed the threads about the increase!

Only thing I can think of is.....The 50 credits are for subscribing as a standard member for a month....which of course I did'nt, they gave it to me for doing nowt.

As for keeping me sweet.... I dont think that upping the cost of subscribing for 6 months is going to make me want to stay...why would I want to pay £24 over the year when a new member only pays £20?

*$parkling $andie*

*$parkling $andie* Report 26 Feb 2013 16:51

Wisechild

As I knew my subs were going to expire Friday at midnight (not intending to re-subscribe) I did not help at all but did post on that same thread you did which was....... :-D :-D

I have also noticed 50 extra credits appearing.....no idea where they have come from, anyone else got them?

LilyL

LilyL Report 26 Feb 2013 16:00

I put three (I think) census forms into my keepsake. When I went to check on one of them, I was told that I had to buy credits to view!! Not much point putting them into keepsake if you have to pay to look at them - might as well leave them where they are and pay in the normal way!! Anyone else come up against this?

Lyndi Report 26 Feb 2013 15:55

I paid same as you wisechild on the 24th, and I had changed my card so got the same email lol.
I am happy to have paid that amount but it really isn't a fair system and is just wrong.

*$parkling $andie*

*$parkling $andie* Report 26 Feb 2013 15:51

Don't blame you one bit!

There is no sense or reason in their decisions on subscriptions.

Shame on you GR
I expect the moderators will now up my subs !..

wisechild

wisechild Report 26 Feb 2013 15:47

I renewed on the 24th for 7.96 GBP. I was a bit surprised to get a message saying my card was out of date though. I´m sure I used the same one last year. Anyway, all was well.renewed to 24.2.2014.
Another surprise this morning to find that my membership has been extended to 24.3.2014 as a thank you for helping out on the WDYTYA board.
Only thing is, I don´t remember helping out. The only contribution I made was to say that the board was hard to find & there were nowhere near as many queries as last year.
Oh well.
