maybe
he inserted a tube with somebody else's blood in it to his arm
like a USA doctor once did to fiddle a DNA test

if he had had a bone marrow transplant
his blood chemistry would of change to

so maybe that's a way to fool historical DNA
or maybe he just planted the blood found at the scene
to put the police off his track
