I wonder if anyone has any credits on the GRONI (GRO Northen Ireland) website and could do 2 look ups for me. I am looking for Archibald Simpson born between 1907 and 1908 and married in 1927. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

There's an Archibald Christie Simpson aged 3 in 1911 Irish census in Co. Down - son of James Andrew and Jeanie, of Baptist religion. There are 7 children listed.

Parents scots, all children b. Belfast James is a Commercial Clerk in shipbuilding.

thanks Chrisof Wessex. According to family trees on ancestry he married in 1936 to Pearl Mildred Haire or Harris, I need to know if he also married in 1927

Sara - does any of the info I have given make a link for you?

I used only free sites.

Thanks ChrisofWessex
I am pretty sure that the family you have given me is not the one I want unfortunately.
Archibald Christy Simpson moved to Canada in the early 1930s and married there.

The one I want married in 1927 in Belfast.

Thanks very much anyway, I much appreciate your help, at least it has narrowed my search down.
All the best

Only birth I can find in Belfast at that time is the one Chris posted:

Name: Archibald Christie Simpson
Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1907
Registration district: Belfast
Volume: 1
Page: 435
FHL Film Number: 101071

Unless he was unnamed on registration:

Name: Simpson
Date of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar 1907
Registration district: Belfast
Volume: 1
Page: 256
FHL Film Number: 101071

or there's this much earlier one:

Name: Archibald Simpson
Date of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep 1903
Registration district: Ballycastle
Volume: 1
Page: 61
FHL Film Number: 101069

That's all that's coming up on the Civil Registration Index.

Thank you Kucinta

I am pretty sure it´s not Archibald Christie Simpson, but may need to check out the one born 1903.

I really need the marriage around 1927.
My Archibald was born April 1927 so it could be his parents marriage.
It says on the GRONI site that you can only search births that occured 100 years + ago and to order the birth cert you need the mothers maiden name and address and the exact place and date of birth.... they don´t want much do they.

Thanks again, Sara

Can't help with the 1927 marriage as I don't have credits on GRONI.

Pre-1922 BMD indexes for all Ireland are available for free on familysearch which has:

Ireland, Civil Registration Indexes, 1845-1958.

An index of Ireland civil registration including 1864-1958 births, 1845-1958 marriages, and 1864-1958 deaths, but excluding index records for Northern Ireland after its creation in 1922.
