well it seems that I have two versions,

adobe flashplayer 16 NPAPI installed 5/2/15

and
adobe flashplayer 17activeX installed 20/03/15

There is SO much stuff on this lappie (Toshiba) I haven't got a clue what most of it does............

Tools (or Cog) >>> Manage add-ons >>> click on Shockwave Flash object (Highlights blue)>>>
Drop down to panel at bottom of page it will tell you what version you are using.

Latest version 17.0.0.134 (I think)

another thing that happens, you know when you want to reply to a email?(I'm on aol)
the cursor thingy is supposed to start off your reply text
but when I type nothing registers...and have to wave the mouse around on the page, to get some response
AND
when I refresh a page , say on ebay......no response from the scrolling at all, for ages....

I don't know about AOL,never bothered with it . I had problems trying to use it years ago (it came loaded on the then computer) I got rid.

About your 2 adobe flash`s...
try this link it will tell you which version you have installed... maybe the two you have are in disagreement with each other .

I read somewhere that Firefox/Mozilla are stopping supporting flashplayer 16 NPAPI (or something like that) in June this year, it May even have been Google Chrome.
I cant exactly remember where I saw it now....
Probably got it all wrong, knowing me. :-D :-D
