My subscription runs out tomorrow. My account is set to auto renew. My credits info is set to auto renew OFF.

2 Questions.....

1) Although registered since 2007 I only joined with a subscription last year -
and during this period I have received an updated bank card.
Do I need to let GR know this and, if so, how? All I can find on the site is
what to do if you want to change cards, not what to do with an updated one.

2) If I don't need to do anything about question 1 - and my subscription is taken
automatically, will I lose any unused credits? Do they need to be used within
the subscription dates?

I realize that I have left this rather late so any help would be gratefully received.

Or do you think I should go to Support straight away??

I think if you take auto renew off they will send you an email saying yours subs need renewing and then you can use the new card

I know one year i changed my credit card provider and cancelled the old one but
Genes renewed on the old one as it was still valid for another year and it caused all sorts of problems me paying the card . I even asked the old provider why did you accept the payment and was told it was down to me to let everyone I had given the old card details that it was no longer in user

Sooo if your old card is expiring they can't renew so should come back to you

1 - If the number on your card hasn't changed, the sub will be taken automatically.
If it has changed, they'll try to debit it, then send you an email asking for the correct details.

2 - No idea! On the other hand, if you've purchased credits, they do have a 'shelf life' as do the records you've used them to view. It's not very long.

50 Credits
Credits are valid for 30 days
View records on a pay-as-you-go basis
Send messages on a pay-as-you-go basis
Unlimited access to the records you have viewed for 30 days

200 Credits
£17.95
Credits are valid for 90 days
View records on a pay-as-you-go basis
Send messages on a pay-as-you-go basis
Unlimited access to the records you have viewed for 90 days
..........

Credits given to you when you renewed last time don't have the time limitations, but not sure if they would carry-over into the following period

Thank you both for the quick response.

I haven't changed banks or anything so I think I will go with DetEcTive regarding question 1 and I will just take my chances with the credits... not a lot lost! Although
it is helpful to know they have a shelf-life.

When my card lapsed I waited for them to inform me that I had to use a new card and then renewed my account. Don't worry they'll let you know, they want your money :-D

Don't know about the credits. :-(

Noooo .... I'm not intending to pooft ( :-D) anywhere ... that is exactly what I'm hoping to avoid. However if, for whatever reason, I disappear for longer than is normal - then at least you know that "I'll Be Back" ... and for the moment.....
