Hi I am looking for any info on John William Bull born 1864 in London married to Louisa Lees in 1897 but they had a son William Henry Bull (my great grandfather) Louisa and John also had a daughter Selina Mary in 1898 his wife Louisa unfortunately passed away in 1900. I am looking for any info on his father. From what I can gather on records John had an older brother Samuel born in 1861 also born in London I have no info on what the father's name is or where he comes from any help would be appreciated thank you

Hi thanks for the info you found from what I can gather through family yes, William Henry was born before they married Louisa died in the work house and John William remarried not sure to who though Selina was put out for fostering/adoption to a local couple whose own daughter died and they then brought up Selina as their real daughter it was only when William was in a pub years later he overhead a conversation and went and found her as he thought she had died apparently. On the marriage cert for John to Louisa, what does it give as his and his father's occupations please?

Unfortuantely I do not have a marriage cert for them only what I have been told tallys up with the Free BMD I have no idea who John Wiliam Bull's father is I only know that John William was born in 1864 St George's London I cant even find out when John Wiliam died either I do know from records and from family members he had a brother Samuel who married a Harriet Budge. Its so frustrating as I would love to know where their parents (unknown) had come from

Bit concerned that there is no sign of John William with the family though - just the Samuel that you mentioned.

You should get his marriage cert to Louisa Lees to confirm name and occupation of his father.

How do you know he was born 1864?
Couldn't he be the William born 1858.

on baptism for his son William Henry Bull 1895 he is down as William John Bull.

This is where it gets confusing he used both his first and second name apparently so I have been told and family are convinced he was born 1864 think I am going to have to order a certificate to make sure.
