I can't believe it but it's there on facebook, messages from her family and friends. No more information at the moment.

Reunited with her husband, Philip. rest in peace dear Huia, such a special, kind, caring friend to so many people.

I will miss you Huia, and never forget you

It's hit me like a steam train, Gwyn. Seems it might have been a stroke, I hope she didn't die alone at her home.

I am shocked and saddened to hear this.

I have been following her on FB and I think she said that she had just given up her work in the charity shop,so it is so sudden.

Goodbye to another of our friends. I saw this on her FB last night, but waited for confirmation this morning. I was told she had a stroke, I think she had a mini one earlier in the year, if I have remembered correctly

I am so sorry to read this on facebook. Yes, Linda I believe you are right, she did have a mini stroke earlier this year. Somebody on facebook did say that she was alone at the time Liz, hopefully though it was quick and painless. Huia will be much missed, her stories of her travels and her photos on facebook. Rest in peace lovely friend.
