Hi all.

I am trying to help my cousin piece together his early childhood.

In the 60's he was either fostered out, or looked after during the day, by a lady he can only remember as Mrs Parsons. She lived in Sun Street, Palfrey, Walsall.
His only other recollection was playing with 2 blonde children in her garden. A boy and a girl. Does anyone remember a Mrs Parsons of Sun Street? Any snippet would be greatly received.

Here's hoping......... Barb Morgan

As you have a partial address & a surname, it would be worth looking at the Historical Electoral Rolls. They're probably held at the closest library with a local studies section.
Once you've found the Parsons household, which would give the 1st names of those eligible to vote, it might be possible to find (Mr?)&Mrs Parsons or close relatives. Although they may not recall your cousin, they may be able to give you information about her childminder roll.

If your cousin believes he was fostered, it would be worth contacting social services to see if they hold a file on him. Only he can access the file. Private fostering, or an informal arrangement, wouldn't have involved social services.
