:-D

I thought I might post about something that caught my attention, and then I thought nah ( or 'no', for those of you who can't imagine me saying nah lol) because I realised that I know pretty much what each of the regulars on this board would say, and how they would say it :-)

Maybe it has come to this, that I will have to do a poll on whether you like pineapple or something just to be mildly surprised ;-)

Are there any topics on which you haven't expressed your opinion, or on which you don't know mine?

I predict a very short thread lol.

I was going to ask 'Can you cook pineapple' - then realised it can be put on pizza :-S
I like pineapple - not too keen on pizza.

Caroline

Caroline Report 22 Jun 2017 23:48

You can bake it into cakes, put it on pizza, fry or grill it, add it to stir fry..... :-D

did you know that pineapple on pizza, aka Hawaiian pizza, was a Canadian invention??

'tis true!!

Created in 1962 by a Greek-Canadian pizza maker.

maggiewinchester Report 22 Jun 2017 23:50

Hmmm. Now I think about it, I have stir fried it - once.
I prefer it 'au naturel'. :-D

Who decided to name them pineapples, and why? :-S

OK, I've just answered my own question via Google :-D

The Chinese consider pineapples a good luck symbol ......

......... hence gate posts on houses around here built to attract Chinese buyers are often topped by either a lion or a pineapple

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 23 Jun 2017 06:06

I like pineapple.

Rose, on almost any subject, preferences aside I think we would be in total agreement.

Dermot

I like Boxty.

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 23 Jun 2017 07:32

Pineapple is lovely but messy :-D

You know I am predictable on here Rose. In fact, I find myself mind-numbingly repetitive at times.

You also know that I am less predictable elsewhere :-D

Gwyn in Kent

Gwyn in Kent Report 23 Jun 2017 08:01

I like pineapple.

Usually my comments are predictably absent from threads that may prove controversial.
I know what I think, but not everyone else needs to know.

Pineapples on gate posts in the UK were a symbol of wealth and prosperity, and occasionally, hospitality.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 23 Jun 2017 08:29

I like pineapple raw or cooked.

I tend to be with Gwyn in Kent's last paragraph. But I think I usually agree with rose! So, yes I am predictable. :-D

In answer to the other question Rose, no I can't think of a topic I would have raised but haven't. I do tend to steer clear of religion and politics.
