Find Living Relatives

Hi. My mum's name was Tessie Edwards, born 1924, daughter of Annie Nicholas and William Edwards. They lived in Bridgened, Glamorganshire. Tessie married Ernest Charles Skinner from Bideford area and later moved to Dorset. I know she had at least one sister but I am trying to trace any additional brothers or sisters and their children (my cousins).

Possible brother Randolph born in Bridgend who also married in Bournemouth, which might suggest the whole family moved there.

Sorry, I forgot to add that the marriage was in Bournemouth. I think work took them there as he (Ernest) was a train driver. I think I have traced Annie Edwards's (nee Nicholas) place of death in Swansea in 1953. There are 7 possible sibblings of Tessie all from Bridgend but 2 of them died at infancy. Thank you all for your help, I am new to this but completely hooked!!

Foolishly, I set an end date of 1924.................didn't consider that the marriage would be so long after the birth..........

I'm not seeing a death in 1953 for an Annie Edwards in Wales. If the marriage above is correct, then you're looking for an Annie BM Edwards. There is this one

How accurate are the names you have for your grandparents?

You say Ernest's middle name was Charles but the marriage is for a Ernest J and there's no birth for him that fits in Bideford.

Hello Rose. My mistake again. Its Ernest John Skinner, not Charles. And I have ordered my mother's birth certificate already. And Stuart, I will double check the Middle name of Annie however, it was the only Annie in that area to marry an Edwards which was my mother's maiden name so I am going on this, Thank you again for all your help.

If Randolph is Tessie's brother, then there's a possible son called Mark who has him on his tree on this site.

Go to Search and Search All Member Trees at the top to look for Randolph.

Further to our previous conversations, I have now discovered to my disappointment that I have been researching the wrong names!!!! Grrr, How could I be so stupid?? My mother's mum and dad's names were Harriet Nicholas who's dad was Joseph Nicholas and her dad's name was Thomas John Edward who's dad was Jenkin Thomas Edwards. The married in Llangynwyd, Glamorganshire in 1902. No wonder no one was responding to me!!

Hello patchem. I have now got a copy of my mum's marriage certificate and her father was Thomas Edwards 1882-19?? born Bridgend. (He died before mum was married) and her mum is therefore Harriet Nicholas 1883-19?? born Bridgend. Thomas's father was Jenkin Thomas Edwards but not sure who he married.
It seems that there are 3 members on here with Harriet's details but I don't think they are members any more so I can't find out anything. :-( I'm not sure where to go from here and I added a new post on the community hoping that someone may have some suggestions.
