I have been asked by a Dutch researcher to try and find some information about the following airmen. These young men were buried in the Protestant graveyard at Oosterhout Nord Brabant after their plane crashed during WW11. There is very little known about them other than the barest details. Their names are:-
Flying Officer Leslie James Ashfield, son of Frederick Henry and Stina(?!) Ashfield of Horseheath Cambs.
Pilot Officer Charles Douglas Crawley, son of Charles Eustace Finlay Crawley, and Margaret Crawley,, of Caulfield, Victoria, Australia.
Sgt Wallace Francis Mckinlay, son of Robert C and Winifred Mckinlay. of Bearden, Dumbartonshire
Cpl Frank Preston, son of Frank and Annie Preston of Dentons Green, St Helens, Lancs
