I need to find a new software package for an iMac we have just purchased. There is no disc drive so it would have to be downloadable database into which I could download my Gedcom files which I have saved. I have always used Roots Magic in the past which I love and am used to, but it is not compatible with Mac. i understand from a little bit of my own research that FamilyTree Maker is about the best option for a Mac via Ancestry. However the downloadable version is only available from the US .com site. Please can anyone advise me if it would be compatible in the UK to download? Any advice would be brilliant as I'd hat to waste my money. I have 19 files to download as i research for friends, and need a really good programme to offer them printed views in various formats for them. Many thanks. Jackie :-S :-S

This board is for you to add your suggestions for changes you would like to see made to Genes Reunited, so isn't really the appropriate forum for this type of question

I see you have also posted the same question on the Ancestry message boards, but there is also a Family Tree Maker support forum where you can get specific expert advice and which might be a better option for you.
