Information about National Roll Of The Great War 1914-1918

One of the most valuable records of the First World War is the National Roll of the Great War, with 111,825 records. Shortly after the end of the war, in response to the unprecedented loss of life, The National Publishing Company tried to create a record of as many participants in the War as possible: the National Roll features brief biographical sketches of those who served in the war. The majority of entries are of those who survived the war, and information was often provided by their families.
