Death of Margaret Mills in Australia

I am looking for the death of Margaret Mills nee Bonner. Margaret and Robert Gordon Mills emigrated to Australia in 1948. She lived in Macloud Melbourne Victoria and died about 1975

I forgot to ask for the death of her husband, Robert Gordon Mills of the same address, but he died in Hospital in Melbourne, I can't remember which one. I think it was about 1988

Death records in Victoria are only available up to 1985, due to the privacy laws.

You can contact a service online 'Ask a Librarian' they can do death lookups in Newspapers

Hi Anne,

I found this if it is the correct couple:

Robert Gordon Mills died 21/10/1989 aged 78 years, cremated at Springvale Botanical Cemetery - 31/10/1989 ashes collected; and

Elizabeth Margaret Mills cremated (same place) 16/7/1974 - Hakea, Ground Niche, Garden 3, Section E, Niche 34 - tenure date 31/12/2025.

Living 6 Hill Court, Heidelberg in 1954 - he a salesman and Margaret home duties. If they lived at Macleod in the later years, Robert may have died at the Heidelberg Hospital, especially if he had been in the services in WW2, or the Austin Hospital. PANCH (Preston and Northcote Community Hospital), which no longer exists was another large hospital around that area.

Yes that is them, I know it sounds silly but I am their daughter in law and was living in Melbourne when Margaret died and my husband returned for his father's funeral but I could't remember when it was. Now I am doing their family tree of course I needed the dates
