ALCE FAMILY OF EASTBOURNE AREA Does anyone know of an Alce (or a connected family) who jumped off Beachy Head? He had been accused of stealing something from a House, and as the Court hearing became imminent, jumped. He may have been a Gardener. I believe this to have happened between 1880 and 1940. The property was later found in the House and had not been stolen at all. I have heard this story from two distinct sources Derek Herincx |
