Find Ancestors

Hi All

My g grandfather Albert Aldridge born abt 1893 died about 1953, from London/middlesex area.

I can't seem to find anything on him. I have his marriage certificate to my g grandmother Catherine Lewsley in 1926. It states he was a widower. I know he had two children before this marriage.

Can anyone help with finding his previous marriage/birth/death records?

Thanks for the help. His fathers name was James Aldridge. He was deceased at the time of marriage between Albert and Catherine. They were married in Brentford middx and Albert was a general labourer, address Balfour road, Ealing.

I think the second one must be his death, as he didn't have any middle names!

This is going to be a tough one,I think. Do you have any clue as to the names of the children from the 1st marriage or those of any of Albert's siblings? Anything??

Hi Maureen,

Albert had 3 girls in total (including my grandmother)
They were Ethel Aldridge, Constance Aldridge and my grandma Joan. I think my grandmother said that it was Constance who came from the previous marriage, They called her Connie.

If i was able to find his birth, i could order his birth certificate, to find out his parents.

Do you have any approximate year of birth for Constance? I'm trying to find her birth reference to establish mother's maiden name.

There's a marriage for Albert to an Elsie DOCKERILL
and then a death for Elsie ALDRIDGE that looks likely:

I do not have an exact year of birth. My grandma was born in 1928 and said connie was about 10yrs older, (but i'm not sure about that, as she does get confused!)
I did find one constance aldridge born in 1916, mothers maiden name Blackmore, but i do not think this is her.

The Aldridge/Blackmore birth is in Walsall, many miles from London/Middlesex.

Was Ethel from his first or second marriage? when was she born?

Ethel was from his second marriage, born after 1926. My grandma was born 1928, so i think Ethel came after. Ethel's mother was Catherine Lewsley.
