The only way to be 100% sure you have the correct line is to purchase the marriage cert |

Yes I suppose I may have to purchase the certificate. this is the problem with births that are not covered by the free census records. |

The only free census records that i know of are the 1881, but you can always ask on here for a census look up for the 1911 |

Does anyone have any idea regarding John |
|||
|
Flick | Report | 21 Oct 2010 12:48 |

Without info (from the marriage cert) about his age...........and father's details, it would be difficult to give accurate info about him. |

Can anyone with access to the 1911 census look up phyllis rudge 1909 kings norton for me? |
|||
|
Julie | Report | 21 Oct 2010 13:12 |
|
But you still need the M/C to prove that the Phyllis b 1909 is the same one that married John |

I was going to see the parents names of phyllis 1909 and ask my grandad about it all. He couldnt put names to dates but at least I could see whether any names jogged his memory before ordering a certificate. |

The Phyllis at the above address looks to have had the middle name Adela and the only marriage for a Phyllis A is in Birmingham 1937 to a man called Piper. |

Are you 100% sure that this death refers to your grandmother? |

This looks possible........the spelling is 'interesting' |

Yes I am 100%, I was actually alive in 1995 and remember not being able to go to the funeral because it was in brum. I have also checked with my notes and her middle name was May according to other family members. |

Yes I have often noticed that spellings dont remain constant. Particularly with the census records, I think it was often make it up half the time. |
