I am trying to find Edward Henry Baldock bc 1860 +- 10 yrs and his son Edward Henry Baldock bc 1882 probably Middlesex/London area at least the younger.

They are connected to my tree but but have not found the link.

The younger Edward Henry is the father of of 'Teddy Baldock' the boxer.
can anyone help please

A Possible:

In 1891 in Poplar:

Edward Baldock c1851 Chatham, General Labourer
Ellen c1853 Manchester
William c1875 London, Boiler Rivetter
Lewis c1877 London, Boiler Rivetter
Edward c1884 London
Stephen c1887 London (Samuel Steave perhaps, a Stephen S married in 1910).

In 1881 in Marshfield Street, Poplar:

Edward Baldock c1847 Chatham, Labourer in Iron Yard
Jane E c1850 Manchester
William H c1875 Poplar (Herbert)
Louis F c1877 Poplar (Frederick)
Florence c1880 Poplar (Jessie)

Edward Baldock married Jane Ellen Carter Sep 1872 Manchester Volume 8d page 531.

freeBMD has Edward Henry Baldock birth Dec 1883 Poplar Volume 1c page 679.

If you look on freeBMD for Baldock in Poplar you can also see a marriage of an Edward Henry Baldock in Dec 1904 and a birth of an Edward Henry Baldock Mar 1905.

A possible spouse for Edward Henry was a Louisa Rose Crocker, in 1911 Ernest Baldock mothers name was Crocker (possibility).

Alfred Stephen Baldock aka Teddy was born June 1907 Poplar.

If that is the right family then Edward c1850's parents were possibly:

William J Baldock c1815 Rochester, Kent
Sarah c1815 Southwark

They can be seen on the 1861 census.

In 1871 Sarah a widow is in Ancoats, Manchester with Edward and his siblings, which would explain his marriage to Jane in Manchester.

Have a look on http://www.islandhistory.org.uk/ under 'Noticeboard' there is an article with regards to Teddy Baldock.
