Blanche BROWN - mother to many!

Trying to find anyone who would know anything about Brown family in Maesteg area of south wales around 1920/30s.
Blanche re-married after death of husband JOHN MEAD BARCHUS in 1911, to DAVID 'BROWN / BROWNE'.

She then adopted numerous children - about 14 I understand in the south wales area.

I believe she and her husband could have worked on a farm at Bryn - just outside Maesteg. Later she moved to Birmingham - probably 1950s - 1960s and lived in Small Heath area.

Would you know anything about the adopted children or the Barchus family?
