Any one help ? I am looking for the Mother of JAMES CARDEN, born in leeds in c1877. I have the father listed on the marriage certificate as PATRICK CARDEN from Ireland.
James CARDEN married Sarah Ann Moore in Leeds in 1900, they then went on to have four children Hannah (my grandma) Winifred Catherine Patrick (or james patrick not sure)
Any help would be much appreciated as I can not find him on the local BMD for a birth yet the census has him listed as being born in Leeds.
Thanks Tracey x

THANK YOU for your help
I have just looked at the marriage cert again, James was 24 when he married in 1900 so would have been born in about 1876 ish.
I never thought of trying CARDING as a surname, but that looks promising
My dad was orphaned as a small child and knows very little of his family,,,, this tree was meant to be a christmas pressie 2 years ago, might get it done for this christmas now THANK YOU

Hi Tracey, I've just found this thread and clearly you must have done a fair amount of research on this.
I am helping a friend in his research to try to find out more about his grandfather James Patrick b1907, son of James (b 1875 in the name Cardon) and Sarah. We've had some help from other GR members but it appears you are the only one directly interested in this family.
Hope we might hear from you shortly, Sue

Hi Sue,
You have responded to an old thread and it is doubtful that Tracey is still looking for replies.
You can click on her name and send your message that way. If she still has the same email address she will be notified.
You can also put the names you are researching into the Search Trees box above (in the dark green bar) to see if anyone on this site has them in their tree. If you find a connection, you can contact the tree owner.
If you want to pursue your query further, then it would probably be better if you started a thread of your own. Take a look at the first post on the Find Ancestors board and at the Help Clinic - above left- for more advice.
Hope this helps. Cx
