Hi I am trying to find out about the following Clarks from Tattershall, Lincolnshire. Benjamin Clark Joseph Clark These two names are on the war memorial in Tattershall, they were both in the 1st battalion Lincolnshire regiment and died in the first world war. I do not know if they are part of my family or were neighbours of my ancestors. John Clark was in the 2nd battalion of the 59th regiment of foot (military general service medal, waterloo medal & army of India medal). The 1881 census shows him aged 91 living at 9 Bede House, Tattershall, Lincolnshire and that he was born in Billinghay, Lincolnshire. Other Clarks I am interested in Lucy Clark born Skelenthorpe in ?1835 William Clark born Tattershall in ? 1855 Elizabeth Clark born Mount Pleasant in ?1859 Benjamin Clark born Tattershall in ?1870 Thomas Clark born Tattershall in ?1863 David Clark born Tattershall in ?1874 William H Clark born Tattershall in 1881 I would be very grateful for any help Maureen McKechnie nee Clark |
