Member Since: March 2003 Posts: 3 Send Message	One of my more annoying brick walls relates to my Ggggg-Grandfather GIDEON CROSS who married MARY HUTCHINGS at Babcary (Somerset) in around 1778 (the register is a bit indistinct. Family lore states that he was a younger son of William Cross and his wife Ellen(nee Beesley) of Barton, near Preston in Lancashire. We have been unable to verify this, so I wondered if anyone might have a spare Gideon baptised in the early 1750s?!
