I have been able to trace my irish roots back to Patrick Darcy (bn c1835) and Honor (Gilroy) Darcy (bn c1838), but i'm finding it difficult to get much further.
Any assistance in either records to search or any information on the Darcy name in Ireland (which does not seem very common) would be much appreciated.

I have D'arcy in my tree and I am also finding it very difficult to discover anything at all about them.
John D'arcy b. 1833 Ireland. Soldier in Lancashire.
Nicholas D'arcy farmer. He was the father of John and was deceased by the time John married in Preston Lance in late 1860's, to Bridget Gibbons (nee Connelly) also from Ireland.
I don't know where abouts in Ireland John was born, I cant find any info at all as I dont know where to start! There is also nothing for Nicholas.
By any very remote coincidence do you happen to have either John or Nicholas in your tree?!

John was a soldier at Fulwood Barracks then moved to Manchester, last seen on a census that I can link to my tree was 1881.
