My GGGrandfather Thomas Delara married in Southampton and was supposedly born in Weymouth. I have ordered his marriage cert but he does not appear on 1881 census. Any Delaras in Dorset or Hampshire may be related I have sent for his wedding cert and his father was called Andrew. Nether of them appear on 1881 census and there was a family rumour that they were runaways. Andrew appears to have been married to a Barbara probably before 1837 when certificates became necessary. |
