Hi am trying to find any information on a JOSEPH HENRY DERRICK married to Helen Ann Jane DEANS in Inverness in 1899. Had 6 children one of which was my grandmother Violet. By this time they were living in PORTSMOUTH and he was a stoker in the Royal Navy. He died in 1913 in Portsmouth. In 1901 he was serving on THE RESOLUTION. His parents I believe were GEORGE DERRICK and JANE BROWN. I have recently found out the Joseph was actually illegimate and so took his mother's maiden name of BROWN but after his mothers marriage he took her husband's name of DERRICK but his stepfather may well have been his actually father as he was away with the navy just before and after his birth. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
