Looking for any Donohue who may have had relations originating in Kilmacduagh near Gort in Galway as my oldest ancestor was Michael Donohue who is believed to have been born there in 1799. He joined the British Army in Portsmouth and was listed as an illiterate tailor. The Theory is his father also may have joined the British Army and hence that is why he was in Portsmouth when he joined up.
