Member Since: February 2003 Posts: 3 Send Message	I am trying to find where my great grandmother Bridget Dowd was born,she married my great grandfather Alfred Melton in Rudby Yorkshire, in 1883. They moved around the country quite a bit. ( Alfred was a farm labourer) They had 5 children all born in different places. Margaret-Middlesbrough, Richard-Durham, Maria (my grand mother) Stratford Upon Avon, Alfred- Stratford area and Frederick-Hampton Lucy. Bridget died at 42 in 1899 at Hampton Lucy. I can not find any imformation about her birth/parents although her father was Mathew.
