I found these details on the 1901 census: 21 Haworth Street, Oswaldtwistle, Lancs. Henry Edmondson Head, Married, 64, Coal Carter, Worker, born Lancs Tarleton. Mary Ellen Caunce Step Daughter, Single, 34, Cotton Weaver, Worker, born Lancs Tarleton. Ellen Edmondson Wife, Married, 52, born Lancs Tarleton. John Edmondson Son, Single, 23, Profession Music, born Lancs Tarleton. Mary Ellen Ashcroft Adopted Daughter, Single, 19, Cotton Weaver, born Lancs Tarleton. I think there is a connection with my family, but not in my direct line so they may be of use to someone else. I have a printout and will gladly e-mail to the rightful owner!
