Looking for my mother's relatives. She was product of father's second marriage but had older step-siblings. Her father was living in Grays and working in Tilbury docks (?) after WW1 but died of the post war flu bug before she was born. He was Scottish but not sure where he originated from. My mum recalls visiting a stepsister (Lily ?)not far from their home when she was young. Also a stepbrother (Douglas)who lived with her father but who may not have taken to the marriage and left home over this. Also he pre-deceased his mother who may have moved to South Africa after his death. Not in 1901 census but in 1881 John age 6. Also info that he married in 1900 in bmd - unable to check spouse. |
