I am trying to find information about my GGrnadfather Cornelius Fitzgerald he came to Gorton Manchester from Cork c1870-1880 with his parents John and Mary Fitzgerald and sister's Julia and Hannah, his father John was born in Balahene a name I have been unable to find in Cork, there is a Ballineen which could be the place it could have been mispelt by the census. I would like to find the maiden name of John's mother Mary who was born c1839 in Cork and was a fish dealer. Cornelius had a son called Edward (Ned) who returned to live nr Dublin after the first world war. Cornelius's eldest son John (Jack) was my Grandfather who married Mary Elizabeth Moran, Jack and his brother's Cornelius and Joseph had a fairground attraction's business which they travelled the country with. if you recognise this family and have any information please contact me.
