My father's name was Aubrey StJohn Ford. he died in 1963. I know very little about my grandparents who I last saw when I was very young. They lived in a nursing home for retired actors and actresses in Maidenhead . Their stage name was Ford and my father took the name. My Father joined the 11th Hussars cavalry and eventually, tank regiment as a boy soldier when he was 16. and left the Army in 1950 as RSM. He was a good horseman and soldier. He had half brothers, one was called Bogey and the other Tony and a half sister called Jane who was deaf. I have grandchildren now. They will want to know about their great grandfather's family as do my sons,if any one can help. |
